what to do with fresh paint?
just got my black car back from the paint shop, it looks great! i have heard that it should be inside for a few days while the clearcoat cures & to wash only (no wax, but of course i use zaino) for the first 8 weeks. is this true?

90 days to be safe, but you can use a polish made by meguires, it has to be the stuff in the light brown bottles, usuall found at body shop supply stores or auto parts stores that sell paint. They have a show car glaze and a light swirl remover that can be put on new paint and it wont seal it.

If the paint is not quite perfect you can use the Meguiars listed above or I use 3M products, the 3M Swirl Mark Remover part number 39009 is great using a foam pad, and orbital buffer.
To some people's eyes the way a car comes back from a body shop, the paint looks good to them, to others like me I alway see places they missed when they rubbed and buffed it out and I work on those places before I Zaino.
