What wax is best for black paint?

I use Liquid Glass and think it works pretty well. I was just curious as to what everyone's favorites are. I hear alot about Zaino, is it as good as people say it is.

www.formula113.com Their product is just as good as Zaino and much much cheaper. I have use it on my car and I have a 1 stage paint job, even though I have gotten the paint to really shine by wetsanding and buffing the paint by putting f113 on or Zaino on it makes the paint look just like a base coat clear coat paint job.

Liquid Glass gives a great shine without a lot of effort. Goes on easy and comes off easy. I haven't used it enough to tell durability though but for one coat it does make a big difference.

People I talked to who use Zaino and used Liquid Glass says Liquid Glass gives the same results with one coat as multiple coats of Zaino but it doesn't have as good of a durability.

This is a guy's truck from Florida (TampaSVT) with Liquid Glass on it.

Formula113 is another cleaner carnauba wax. Has abrasives in it.

Click on the link in my sig-it's got a coat of Z5 on it (I need some better pics when it's bright outside-but I think it looks pretty good).

Waxes/polishes I'd use on black: Zaino Z5 w/ ZFX, P21S/S100, Pinnacle Souveran, 3M Show Paste Wax, Klasse, etc.... And, I'd choose ANY of these over F113, any day of the week. F113 and Zaino have absolutely nothing in common, one is a carnauba cleaner wax, the other is a layerable, nonabrasive polymer sealant. One will last maybe a month, the other can last and protect for at least 6 months, and even longer. All of the products I mentioned above are nonabrasive enthusiast products, except one product from the Klasse line (AIO), which is optional as a cleaner IMO. For a good detail, you need to use separate paint cleaners and nonabrasive waxes or polishes. A combination product (cleaner wax) isn't the best cleaner, nor is it the best wax, nor does it have good durability. Any of the products listed above will look great on black, so do a little more research and choose what's best for your car. If your car is a daily driver, I'd choose a polymer, like Zaino or Klasse first, and if you prefer even more shine, you can top it with another nonabrasive wax, even though most Zainoers are completely satisfied with the Z shine alone. Whatever the case, your paint deservers better than a cleaner wax. You can get those at any parts store for $5.

If you like LQ you would be very happy with Zaino, my shops used LQ for many years on customers cars that wanted longer protection than carnauba wax, LQ on some color cars was tough to use, it would streak and become a pain to remove, you do not get that with Zaino.

I've been trying to find what I thought was the best for over 30 years. I quit looking after I tried Zaino. Been using it ever since.

Yes I knew it has abrasives in it. How much money do you spend on all the Zaino products? I only spend 20.00 for the f113. So what if it doesnt last for 6 months. The first time I used f113 it lasted almost a month and a half. And since I live on a dirt road I regulary wash my car once every 2 weeks and apply a coat of f113 once a month. I have tried both Zaino and f113 on my car side by side and got the same results shine wize and the only difference inbetween the two was Zaino lasting longer and being a non abrasive compound.

The biggest difference is that with Zaino you could polish/wax your car 2-3 times a year instead of 12 times, that would mean that your Zaino products would last 4-6 times longer than your product, since Z-1 and Z-2 cost $21.90 you could spend much less for your detailing products per year by using Zaino because you would use much less product (2-3 coats compared to 12 coats per year), and Zaino layers which even means adding coats gives you even longer protection, something that cleaner waxes can not do.

I have had a black car one one type or another since 1988 and I just bought another black vehicle (a truck) about a month ago, I would not keep buying black vehicles if I did not know about Zaino.
