Question What (or who) is this "Dawn"?

I reada poster in here talk about washing his Trans Am with something called "Dawn". What is this? The dishwashing liquid Dawn?

If so, is it actually safe for our cars' finishes? Is it safer than the actual carwash chemicals that you can get at Autozone?

If so, what type of Dawn to get? (lemonfresh, etc.)

Yup the dishwashing liquid soap, use the blue kind, but only to strip any old wax off, I wouldnt use it as a weekly car wash soap, cus it'll dry out the paint over time sense thats what it's good at(cutting grease).

Only use Dawn if you are stripping old wax and grease and grime from car, otherwise it'll take off conventional waxes and polishes. Most people use it as the first step in prepping the paint for the protectant they are going to use. Do not use as a regular car wash.
