I just started using zaino and I love it, it really is a great product. Between coats I use meguiars quick detailer and I think it works great especially with zaino, but seeing how much better zaino is than off the shelf waxes my question is if z-6 spray is that much better than quick detailer, or if I should just save time and money an stick with the quick detailer?

 

Z-6 is much better, Z-6 offers protection where most quick detailers do not, if you use a detailer like Meguiar's you should wash with Dawn before applying any coats of Zaino

 

I would certainly agree with Carl. The Z6 is of much higher quality than the Meguiar's QD. Zaino's Z6 is not like most other QD sprays out there. It contains the same types of polymers that are in the Showcar Polish, as well as Anti-static and UV ingredients. 99% of the QD's on the shelf are some kind of mixture of some or all of: water, alcohol, maybe a slight amount of carnauba, and silicone oils. The consumer line Meguiar's QD is basically silicone, which will interfere with the bonding of additional coats of Zaino.

Back in the day, I loved the Meguiar's QD, but having used many products since, including Z6, you can do a lot better IMO.

 

Best quick detailer aside from zaino, i have encountered yet is mothers Showtime. I tried the meguiars once, and was not all to impressed.

 

I agree. For a local QD product, the Mother's is nice, smells good too. I also like DuraGloss Fast Clean & Shine QD spray.....another really good local product. Can't go wrong with either for local stuff.

I use the Z6 on the applicator too when I put Z1, Z2, or Z5 on my truck. Helps is spread better. I can't wait for the new Z2/Z5 though. I gotta empty my bottles now so I can order more. Polish-fest!!!

The Z6 seems to help the additional layers go on easier and remove easier. I wouldn't go without it. Look in my garage, and you'll see mountains of empty Z6/Z7 bottles And, unfortunately, a big empty spot that used to contain a 3rd gen
