zaino tire gloss

Is it just me or does this thing really suck. I like the fact that its not really shiny but it browns my tires within a week. I thought this thing was supposed to prevent browning, very disappointed with it and was wondering if others were experiencing the same thing.

I would scrub your tires with a scrub brush and Ajax or Bon-ami, and reapply Z-16. This happened to me with a new SUV, the dealer put tire dressing on and I applied Z-16 on the tires several times and they kept turning brown, I scrubbed them well and reapplied Z-16, and I have not had the problem since then.

thanks for the heads up, will try that out. I really like the fact that it doesn't fling crap all over the place and really want it to work well.

Yeah, it sounds like you need to completely clean the tire before applying the dressing. With a really clean tire, the dressing can bond better to the rubber. If you aplied a dressing over a dirty tire or over another dressing, it usually will shorten the durability and/or cause the tire to look even worse. I scrub my tires with a good wheel cleaner, like Meguiar's Gold Class Wheel Cleaner or Eagle One A2Z so they are perfectly clean before I apply any type of dressing. Even when the Z16 wears off, the tire never looks like that nasty brown color.....I'd say it just looks like a black tire with no gloss really.

Here's what the Z16 looks like in the sun:

I really like the Z16 shine and I LOVE the fact that it does not sling, but my only real complaint with the Z16 is that I can't get it too last but for about 1 or stretching to 2 weeks.... Other than that, it's a fantastic dressing!

I think that's to much shine for me... I like the "brand new" look.

Zaino Z-16 Tire Gloss does not make your tires glossy, it make them look new.

Cool

Yeah the Z16 is about as natural looking as it gets, but since the car was in the sun and the tire looked shinier than it usually is, I thought I'd take a pic. It really is a lower gloss product though and leaves a nice new look, without being ultra glossy or greasy. There are a few other products that leave a lower gloss like Z16, such as 303, Vinylex, Meguiar's #40, etc, but Z16 is a good value since it's a bigger bottle and reasonably priced.

I drive a 2002 firehawk and have only used one type of tire cleaner, Z-16. No browning and I use it everytime I wash my car, about once a week. I also use a little Z-6 after every wash too to really bring out the shine. Zaino rules.

Thumbs up

The Z-16 rules! I used to use a product from a company called The Wax Shop called LRV that was unbelievable but has not been available in our area in 5-6 years. The Zaino smells, looks and works exactly like the LRV so the Extreme 2001 or whatever that stuff in the black and neon green bottle is went in the trash!

Thanks,

Jason U
