1994 Z28 cranks but will not start?
Driving down the highway my Z28 experienced symptoms of running out of gas; which was possible (I am embarrassed to say). After filling with 6 gallons of gas it cranks but will not start. Any suggestions/thoughts/ideas would be greatly appreciated!
In trying to find the problem, I have replaced: Battery, Fuel Filter, Ignition Control Module. All fuses under the hood and on the side of the dash are good. I have spark to the plugs (capped plugs against the block shows great spark). The fuel pressure reads 41 psi (proper range 41-47 psi). Fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose clear of any fuel. Starting fluid into the throttle body and it still wont start.
Any ideas? Thank you!

Scan for codes ... There is a sticky on here for 94/95free scan
I think ???? dtc16 code shut's down single to the injectors ??

I am having the same problem right now. Basically I have gone through everything I can think of short of draining the gas, putting fresh hi octane gas in the tank. I had the mds opti on, replaced that with a known good one, new opti harness too. It's getting a big fat spark. Has msd 6al ignition box. New plugs, msd wires, injectors cleaned and or replaced by boost labs...thought maybe the pump, just put a walbro pump in tank last night....no luck??? Love my LT1s, but this thing has me stumped...checked also last night for ****s and giggles compression on #3, just picked one 150psi compression.....idk wtf, meanwhile my T56 car runs like a top!!

Just because fuses look ok don't assume the connections are too..
The ignition fuse in the box (engine bay) one of my wires going to it and the connector pulled out enough to let my car start
Our cars are old and anything is possible from bad pigtails breaks in wires due to heat age and nature especially critters but always K.I.S.S the problems first then look for the technical stuff..

Could be the fuel pump - same thing happened to me years ago. Try hitting the gas tank with a broom handle - sounds dumb but has worked for me in the past. if it starts then it's the pump.

Well i read most of this, i have personally replaces over 6 optisparks in my time, it sounds like this is the problem, you can get a great manufactured one from cardone that is new which is what im running for under 100 dollars at summit, solved all my problems.
