94 z28 radio problem

94 z28 radio problem
My 94 z28 radio works great with the exception that when you turn the car off and open the door the radio is still on. If I turn the turn signal that also has the cruise control just a tiny bit the radio goes off anyone have any ideas?

Might be a problem with the RAP (retained accessory power) module that keeps the power windows and radio powered up after the key is turned to OFF. Or, could be the RAP module is not receiving the correct input from the door jamb switches.

Not a common problem, and the interference of the turn signal/cruise control switch is something I haven’t run across in the 25+ years I've been helping here. Maybe some bare wires contacting between the turn/cruise bundles and the ignition bundle.
