After 4 month's of down time...IT'S ALIVE!!

Hey everyone!
Well as some of you may know my car has been down for some time now due to a bad nitrous mishap...well I finally have her all back together with some new goodies on her
Total engine airflow stage 2 CNC ported LS1 5.3 liter truck heads for 10.8:1 compression...and while I was in there I swapped the HOT cam out for a new one...224/230 .568"/.573" on a 114 lobe sep....it need's a good dyno tune session and that's coming soon...but i should be back in action here shortly! she idle's pretty well but i still need some time to play with it...it took me 1 and a half day's to install the heads and cam lol...then 4 months waiting for part's! but I am so damn happy she's back in action..see ya'll at the track...hoping for low 11's high 10's on motor..and low 10's on the juice..hehe should be fun just thought i would share since im so happy i can't contain myself haha, later,

well there was a few scuff marks on the top of the piston...tiny little ones hehe so i just left it and put the new heads on..did a compression and leak down test..and it's all good! the thing that happened was the car went lean do to weather change ( i already had the jets a little lean) and it got so hot in the chamber that the damn TR6 plug melted and the porcilen on the inner part of the plug shattered and broke my exhaust valve in 3 places!...but the cylinder wall's werent scuffed and the piston has about 5 pencil tip size dings in it..i guess i was lucky..but it all worked out for the better damn i love these CNC heads! later,

Dude I can't believe you're gonna forge on to the low 10s w/ that original bottom end....but, then again, I never thought it or the tranny, or the rear end would make it this far! I hope you're planning on getting an EGT sensor and guage on that beast sometime soon. Are you gonna be going to the SLP day @ OSW on march 29th? I'd love to see all the big dogs w/ Agostino strokers and such getting shot down by a stock bottom end, stock drivetrain car!

Mike: I might head out to the corner tonight to make my 1st appearance in the car out there I need to get it tuned before I do any real beating on it...it's running pig rich right now and who know's what the A/F ratio is lol...but i'll see you guys out there hopefully.

Ed:I might just have to do that...i need NAWWWSSS!! lol...i will talk to him sometime soon and see what he want's to do.

Brett:dude an EGT guage is your friend lol...im only gunna start with a 125 shot and see how it holds up..SLP day is a no go for me...I am so broke from this process it's crazy. After i get it tuned im gunna go out to the track just for some all motor shake down passes...then shove some N20 back into it I can't wait! i need an ls6 intake though..this ls1 intake is making me mad haha..later,

hehehe thank's guy's..i'm thinking about running it on wednesday for some shake down runs..but im not expecting much at all since i still have the stock intake manifold and computer...it need's a tune real bad lol..but hopefully it will go 11.4xx@around 117 or 118 ..then i'm gunna tune it and throw the ls6 on...that should put me about 11.2xx@ 120 or 121..then on to the nitrous again!hoping for some real deep 10 second run's on the gas..later,

damn Carter your pumping that bad boy for everything its got...but thats awesome hehe. Well i wish i could check out your car, it sounds like you do some crazy stuff to it. Just to let you know...my 93 Z is coming along pretty well. I been running around with my head chopped off ever since i bought it back in August. Ive done quite a bit since, and she is running great. Mid to High 13's is all ive gotten out of it yet. Cracked just over 100 MPH once in 1/4 mile. But its doing well. Later
