hey guys, i found this motor on-line. is it a good buy? will i need anything else for it to go into my 93' z-28? should i replace or upgrade anything else? your feedback is appreciated. thanks.

its ok i guess. you would have to beef the tranny up a bit. for that kinda money i would invest in a used LT4 kit. or see if you can get that motor but with higher CR and a bigger cam. that motor has lower CR and only a SLIGHTLY bigger cam than your LT1 stock.

Also, what about the intake? will your stock LT1 manifold bolt of to those heads? headers? tuning? there is alot to keep in mind when changing to a different motor.

Anybody else wanna help me with ideas here?

Again... what are you gonna do for spark? A 350 doesn't have an optispark and that distributor is gonna be hard to fit under the windshield.

Do yourself and your car a big favor and just leave it alone.

Seriously, its painfully obvious you're in over your head. Just because you found a cheap 383 (cheap in more ways than one) in some catalog does not mean its a good idea to attempt to stick it in your car. I do mean attempt because thats a Gen I SBC and won't work in a 4th gen car without some serious work.
