Angry just hit an orange cone!! any decent paint shops in orlando??

i was driving to pick up dinner for me and the family, and there just happened to be one of those HUGE orange city cones laying in the middle of the road!!!! cars on the sides of me so all i can do is hit it! rips the whole front ground effect right off the car, and rips the paint off a huge part of the front bumper! so here i am looking for a paint shop. anyone know of any place decent that wont charge too much to touch this up??

anyone think i could get any money from the town for having the cone laying in the middle of the road being a hazard to all drivers?!? i know its a long shot, but i REALLY dont want to pay $300 to have the front repainted!

Dang! You must have been going pretty fast. We hit cones all the time autocrossing. Maybe our cones are a bit 'broke in'. lol

Anyway, if Longwood is close enough for you, take to D&G Enterprises. Gary (and his wife Dawn - thus the name) used to run the body shop at Ultimate Motorworks (Lambos, Rolls, Ferarris, ...) and now has his own shop. He brought my car back to original condition after a semi crumpled the drivers side all up. You can't tell it was ever hit. He's pretty reasonable cost wise too. I don't know of many people who would have been pickier about getting their car fixed right (For an example of my extreme perfectionism, Chevy doesn't stock the orange door moldings anymore. They expected us to take white ones and paint them. The originals were Orange all the way though, no paint. I searched the US and found a set off a wrecked 01 SS in Alabama at Billy Graham's FBody auto salvage yard. But I have the correct moldings for my car now.). So if I was happy with the work they did, I'm sure anybody would be. (407)260-6434 is their number.

I guess Whistler also does some paint work and does a good job. But he seems to be pretty busy these days. There was a post just a week or two back where you could have found a few other recommendations too.

Clermont shop

Hey Bri,
I haven't used them, but I heard the place in Clermont is pretty good. They are just a mile or 2 south of Hwy 50 on Hwy 27. They are on the right at the top of the hill. I think the name is DJ's collision or something like that. Check em out.

If they are no good, right in Winter Garden on 50 is a shop called Solomons. My parents had some work done there several years ago and they did a good job.

Good luck,
Guy.
