Lightbulb Midnight Drags at OSW...

I plan on going - weather permitting. Anyone else here thinking of making the trip out there? I want to test some new mods and lay the smackdown on a certain 3rd Gen w/ a ZZ4 crate motor.

Well you guys didn't miss anything... except a complete lack of track prep, 93% humidity, and a bunch of people running much slower than they usually do.

It would have been nice if someone with prior experience had given me the heads up. I'll never attend another one, it was a good waste of $15 and my night.

I ran 13.788 @ 105.54, so don't feel bad. A 2.28 60' was all I could muster on Nittos. I did however beat that ZZ4 car. I caught him sleeping at the line and got to the stripe first. He ran me down, but could pass me on the big end. His exact words after that run were -"Damn LS1's and their top end!"

I'm officially done racing the car for at least 3 months, this weather is BS. No sense abusing the car only to not run well in the heat.

It was just last night, any other time I pull mid 2.00's there. I honestly think they just didn't lay down any glue. They hold nights like that, draw in a large crowd, and all they want is your money. I've heard funday sunday events are pretty useless too.

me and my friend that lives out of town, have been talking about going to midnight drags to see what his truck runs( old chevy 1500 with 350 with a 400/400 cam he thinks pushing somewhere around 400 flywheel horsepower) i have been wondering if the midnight drag is really packed? how many runs can u get in on any given saturday night?
the 400/400 is just a guess, i dont know the exact duration on it, that is just what he told me, and the motor is not stock in any way except for the block.
