MSCC May 10th...

anyone going?

I have work at 3, its cutting it close, but I want to go.

Tell the guy you want to work either morning or night, not a mid shift, and I get sceduled amidshift so I am rushed if I go to MSCC, and I cannot go to the CFFB meet, if he worked me morning I could go to CFFB, if he worked me night I could have gone to MSCC.

Either way, Chuck think they might give me guff about my tires they are bad, no visible steel belts, but the rears have soem missing patches. I have some tires with tread if I have time to thorw on the to replace the ones with patches of rubber missing, and maybe chill with those in the front.

Maybe if I am lucky i can convince the girl to let me take her new 2000 Z24(auto) out.

Eitehr wayI still have to fix my car

I think I can get Anasazi to come out ot at least watch.

What's the point of racing on unsafe tires? It makes me feel old to say this. But I recommend getting the ones with chunks missing off of their ASAP. I remember when I was young.... I'd do the same thing. You might be able to get through tech depending on who you get. But honestly, if there are chunks of tread missing, you don't pass tech.

My wife has a surgery tomorrow, the kids have 3 soccer games this Saturday and Sunday is, of course, Mother's day. Plus I don't want to risk damaging a 1 day old paint job by whacking a cone. So I'm gonna have to miss this month's event for the first time since August 2001.

Good job on getting Anasazi interested. Why is he just willing to watch?

his car is currently having a brake problem, something he hopes to have sorted out by then... and he kinda should interest on his own

As for the Car I woudl let it sit out in the sun as much as possible, After i got my 85 Camaro back it took 2 days to fully dry, and it seemed to change shades closer to the end prodect faster when i kept it out in the sun.

hehe I won't race with the tires with patches missing, those are just the rears, I was on my way to get new tires when my torque arm died, I literally dropped off my drycleaning, got in my car, hit a bump heard a kerchunk and then the gears were making noise and the sprigs were rubbing against my frame.

The rears are the ones I been having a little burnout fun with them.

I am going to try but for some reason i think I have to get too many things figured out before i can get out there...

I have been sick for the last week or so I am tired of being couped up in apartments, and my car has been down the time so i need some me and car fun

I'll be heading over and Jim Mueller might make it as well. Hope you can get it sorted out in time.

yea my brake problem is the cheap piece of sh*t discount auto bendix brake pads...

got new cheap slotted/drilled rotors (bleh) and i'm going to get some "performance friction" pads from autozone (you can see, i'm spending mega buck$ for my brakes... lol ). i hope to do this tonight.

eric you going to be at your apartment tonight? if so can i barrow a c-clamp and the hex wrench for the calipers? if i'm going to the autocross then damnit i wanna have at least a FEW miles on the new pads / rotors before i put them through some torture

As much as I'd love to go, I have two things going against me right now:

1) Clunking front driver shock. The shock rod threads are pretty fubar, and we attempted to bandage it with a die-cutter and lok-tite.

2) Need new front pads in a bad way and probably need the rotors turned if not replaced. I've got a pretty good lip on the exterior of my rotor from where the pads have dug in over the last two years.

So, in the interest of safety, I'm going to need to pass on this event. However, the car is back and the tranny feels excellent. One thing at a time.

I got my SS back today. It looks awesome! I would definately recommend D&G to anybody. I was there everyday seeing what was happening. I was only gonna go 2 or 3 days a week but Gary kept telling me to come back the next day to make sure everything was uo to my standards. If you need a body shop, look no further.

Right off 427 in Longwood on Palmetto Ave.

Anyway, the paint is still soft and I'd hate to slap a cone and screw it up. I'm even thinking twice about taking it on the 25th. Jim or Jeff, want to borrow some stickies for Tavares in return for a ride? I'll still be there but I want to let the paint cure a bit more before I start throwing gravel and traffic cones at it.

I should be at the CFFB meet tomorrow night.

Since Jeff got to go to today's event, I guess it's only fair that I get to respond first memememememe!

No need to twist my arm. Just let me know if you're riding down with me or in your own car, and how to get the tires down there.

Do you have my number?

OK so I just go back from the event and I see where I've lost out due to my abscence all I can say is dammit

The car is much more competitive but I still can't hang with the guys running race rubber. It was a four car field and I was slowest with a 38.3xx and the fastest was a 37.0xx. It was good close competition but all of the other cars had race rubber. I guess I know what my next purchase will be. I just have to figure out how to get four wheels & tires, floor jack, cooler and folding chair in my car.

I'm actually gonna be coming from Homossassa and bringing the tires. I'll probably just drive the truck. If you're at the cffb meet tonight look me up. I'll be there.

It all fits in mine. You might have to put one wheel in the front seat though depending on what width you get. Fold the back seat down first. The jack and chair go in the trunk. But then again, I don't plan on missing any more events for the rest of the year. So you can just use mine. And as far as who's car I d rather drive in the member's event, sorry but I need a 6 speed. Not to mention a modded LS1 under the hood. Sorry. But it's just a fun run event, so we'll probably be able to all swap around from car to car if you want. Maybe swap tires after lunch or something. I hope I don't wear out my Kumho's in a non competition event. That would suck!

Who designed the course? 37 seconds. That blows! I hate it when the course designers don't have enough imagination to be able to design a 60 second course. Seat time is what it's all about! 30 seconds is a rip off! I would be really pissed if I had gone.

Put one tire in the passenger seat;
Put down the rear seat, lay one tire flat behind the driver seat;
Stack the third tire diagonally on the second tire - so that it touches the carpet on the passenger side and the top of the second tire on the driver side;
Put the last tire in the rear hatch;
Bring a few smallish coolers which fit behind the front seats on the floor and/or in the passenger side floorboard;
Perhaps they make an adapter between the air hose for the compressor and the plastic fittings on an inflatable chair

You didn't say anything about needing to see out the back window!

Guess I'm heading over to the show, cya there...

Dude! Let's all get inflatable chairs! That would be hilarious. I can bring an air chuck that will blow them up with the compressor. We can get a banner and call my 'tent' the Fbody Lounge!

How come we get to name it after you? Does this mean you're going to faint from blowing up all the chairs? Do you have your own brand of shoes? Will Franz announce they'll be selling the compressor because they've found a cheaper solution?

Tune in next time!
