Need a EPROM eraser

I have a friend that has a EPROM programmer but not the EPROM eraser. Anyone got one I can use or buy?

Jim,

You need an ultraviolet light source. I would suggest leaving it in the direct sunlight for 30-60 minutes or so. If that doesn't do it then you will need to locate a lamp or UV box. Try the sun first... if it doesn't work I'll try to locate a lamp for you.

You can get a data erase brand for around 40 bucks.

Sunlight will take forever, sorry.

I have a memcal adapter with a ZIF socked if you're interested.

I've been told the same thing, can't say I've ever tried it though...

Are you talking about one of Craig Moates' adapters? Just curious

Tim: thanks for the response. I will give it a try, the sun is free.
You guys at C&S Performance are everywhere. What year F-bodys can you tune??

Mikael: I have no clue about this, Jason is helping me out on this one. Maybe a few more post on this and you guys can figure this out.

Why not just get some flash chips so ya don't need an eraser? That's what I've been doing, and I don't have to worry about the whole chip not erasing completely.
