Relocating to Orlando, need advice on Apts.
I might be moving to Orlando soon, I'll probably be living with my brother who is going to school.
We'll need a place close to South Park Circle (I've never been so that doesn't mean much to me) 32819.
Anyone familiar with the area know a good apartment complex to live in?
I don't want to live in the ghetto, but it doesn't have to be stellar. A decent place will do fine. If I had to prioritize what I wanted, I would say low crime first, and nice apartment second. Anyone have any suggestions?
I've checked out apartmentratings.com, but it seems people just post there if they have a problem, thus alot of bad ratings.
Thanks.

Re: Relocating to Orlando, need advice on Apts.
I just moved to the Orlando area about a month ago. I grew up about 1hr away near Daytona Beach so I was a little familiar with the area, but really had no idea what there was regarding apartments.
My gf and I ended up getting a place in "metrowest" on Kirkman Rd. Metrowest is basically a developed portion out to the SW of downtown Orlando. There are a number of complexes, and a decent number of restaurants/shopping areas.
We moved into Sterling Crest, and haven't had any complaints so far. It's been quiet, and the neighbors seem pretty nice. Parking is actually pretty easy. We looked at Marina Landing, and were considering it, but someone was shot there the week after we checked them out so it really spooked my gf. We also checked out Hidden Lake, and they seemed fairly decent.
Hope that helps.
