Hey! That's my pic Predatorbird!!

I actually was taking video at the time of the crash and caught the last second or so of spinning and got alot of the damage on video while my dad snapped off pictures on the digital. I'll get it on the computer for all to see soon enough....

I thought SLP sucked to, but most self induced
I spent most of the day waiting For the BFG loaner drag radials, trying to find my stpid lock nut key and keep my friends for sitting in my car like it was theirs
I got two runs in during the bracket racing...slammed on the brakes and ran a 13.3 at 80 MPH!! lol.....Im sure that would have been a 12.9 pass oh well

I was hoping there would be ppl selling used stuff but i never found any??? i wants a TOTL

Well i got 2 passes in the bracket racing, a GTech, a bad tank-top tan, and didn't have to burn out my 315, so wasn't that bad...

I thought it was awesome!

I got my car back at 2pm on friday, had work at 3pm, got home around midnight, started cleaning/working on it an did that till 5am, sat around till 6 am got a shower and drove over to winn dixie at 7am. So I stayed up all night. I wasn't even planning on running my car, had no plans for a helmet, then showed up and I heard of a helmet rental rumor and rented one, I was going to jsut do some time trials.

Since I have had my car less then 24 hours and less then 50 miles on the rebuild I decided to take it easy and jsut have some fun. Track prep was AWESOME, I usually do a little ride the clutch out at 3k, and it spinns the dust off my tires, I almost stalled out the old 3.4L at SLP day doing that. I granny shifted my first to runs and ran like 16.7ish or something, my car felt like it had NO POWER. BUt ehh... I didn't care if I ran 15 flats a new record for me would have still been embarassing, I saw 2 ohter v6s run(my twin quaser blue 5-speed 3.4L but he had t-tops) and a gray 3.8L. I did beat a lt1 SS that ran a 16.9, I took off and looked in my mirror wondering why he did not pass me and I see a cloud of smoke then he started coming up. Doesn't matter if its an in. or a mile winnning is winning.

The car show was awesome, same with wathcing all the other cars, I waws loving the GTPs, you usually do not get to see that many of them run, its a different sound. Thing I loved the most was you actually got to watch cars run, I usually stay in the staging lanes when I am at test and tune don;t really get to see anyone run.

Either way I decided to say screw it who cares my car is running like ***, tranny was just rebuilt, I haven't driven the thing in 3.5 weeks till the night before, I never have done bracket racing, adn I have been up for near 30 hours straight, I am going to run it. My first race, I was thrown off by the lights going I had a 0.8 r/t and panicked and spun the launch, I was mad because all I wanted to do was make it to round 2 and be happy, but I got lucky and the other guy broke out!

I ended up beating a couple more guys, I just kept going and going, I started driving with my usualy r/ts and such, and I asked around right after I got eliminated about where I woudl stand and was told about the last 12 out of 205 cars, I have no idea what I was but it did narrow down till we were in one lane and maybe 20 car back. I did not expect that at all, my race that scared me the most was against an ls1, my dial in at 16.2, his at 12.2, YOu guys don't know how nerve racking it is to see a ls1 about an 1/8th of a mile back hauling so much as that its dead even with you at the traps, I think the only reason i won is that 93-97 Camaro's noses are a little pointer then ls1 camro noses, I won by 0.03 seconds.

And once again congratulations to David Alexander and his Green Lt1 with 5-stars, I am not sure he post in the regional, but he does post on this board, thats how we met in a computer class we were both cruising www.cz28.com

I thought it was well worth, it free hat, shirt, lots of cars, they had SLP stuff but I cannot think of anything form SLP I would order but takeoff parts but they did not really have much with them at the time, so I would still have to order. I did buy 2 professional pics of my car staging and launching, I never get pics like that at the drag strip with a good camera(they had 3 pics of my car over all, but the one showed too much chippied paint and my paint does look tealish from certain angles) Food prices seemed reasonable but I work at a movie theater, smae size bottle of water you bought for $2 cost $3.50 at the theater. A dyno or 2 woudl have been nice, they had one for Fun Ford, and the night before Fun Ford during test and tune(I wanted to what my car put down, if its a freak or not but I broke tranny the run before). Also I think total I had 9 passes down the track, I think 4 in time trials thats better then the $15 for a test and tune.

The prizes were awesome they gave out like $1000 on gift certificates, maybe 15-20 G-techs, some take off rims and tires, chorme SS with tires, and some ohter 17x9 rim/tires, funny alot of people did not stick around and lost out, I think they went through 2 names on the SS rims/tires, before they found someone that was there.

I was sunburnt and exhasuted by the end of the day but I will post what digital pics I have later, I took about 20 with the regular camera, so far my digi pics aren't bad even considerng my camera cost me $50 2 years ago.

It most certainly does and great job. I just don't know you is all. I did enjoy seeing your car run though, over and over again .

Ultra Z was a little disapointing but still a cool car I mean an f-body int he 10s still impresses me, especially since I really have no idea what was in the Ultra Z.

Yeah, I saw Kristi-anna too. She was bending over near a wheelwell. There was also a cute blonde hanging out, er with, her mullet-enabled SO. Couldn't get a decent shot though. I snapped one of another, but I haven't developed it yet.

Maybe next time they can have a t!ts-for-tires competition. Ya'll get your GF's to win you a pair of drag radials

the 2 pics i did take inside were of this because i was both scared and amused... kind of was hoping for some sort of explosion:

You wanted an explosion when you were that close to the car?

i thought it was amusing when the ultra-z made its very first run, ran crappy, then no sooner than crossing the finish line they started making excuses over the PA system... overheard a few people compare it to some riceboy making excuses.

This is what I am saying…. I heard the well it has 4.10’s and is just running out of gear… You know what, you’re bringing a car out to showcase your products and your supposed knowledge and can’t deliver….. If they can not get their ultra z to run right I doubt they can help our rides. It just infuriates me that with all their engineering they could not do better in front of the customer. I think it is more of GM killed the fbody lets ease the fbody out but throw the customers a bone now and then to keep their hopes up. I usually do not rant but after this event I will never purchase a SLP product unless I have no other options in the WORLD.
