Exclamation Speaker Scam

Hey guys just thought i'd tell you guys that not too long ago i got approached again by those guys that scam the speakers! Same setup as before, i was getting into my car in front the Publix on the corner of Alafaya and 50 and this white Jeep Laredo pulled up all fast and the guy in the passenger side started talking all fast saying if i wanted some speakers, blah, blah, blah. I told him no and turned to get in my car. Then i thought to get the plate # but they sped off onto 50.

Just be aware that these speakers are crap and this is a scam!

things must have changed alot when i was doing it they would start at about 600 and go out the door about 150$ each.. for in home speakers thats pretty cheep.. if ya want the high def stuff go to sound advice.. if ya want a get ya by nice looking set of speakers there ya go.. how do u know there no good did you buy a set?? probly not ya just have nothing else to do might as well bitch about someone out trying to mkae a liveing huh? by the way i had few old budds that are still in the trade sell a set to my boss who was looking for some and he says the are a great bang for the buck.. i cant promise it but if you really want to be proved wronge i could probly get him to demo them for ya...but all i know is that he loves toys and is really happy with them so i guess not everything is to good to be true..

i dunno... being cornered in my brand new camaro (at the time) in the line at the bank's drive through ATM so that they can "make a living" selling these pieces of crap does not seem like a good practice if they want to make much money.

and if people rush up to me hanging out of an SUV asking if i want to buy speakers, yes, i'm willing to put money on it that its a scam and no i will not be giving them any of my money.

it amazes me that people buy from people running around in an SUV hanging out the window screaming "HEY DO YOU WANT TO BUY SOME SPEAKERS ... blah blah blah"

now, if they are in fact good or halfway decent speakers and not bricks in a box and i am dead wrong, well then thats perfectly fine with me, but their business practice and presentation is enough to scare me away.

Interesting how there was a previous thread with like 50 people who had been cornered by these guys hanging out a window yelling at them... Great business practice.

If they are good speakers put fliers on cars and sell them on a web site

HAHAHA

I was harrassed by these guys everyday for like a week. My bank is loacted inside of a Publix and i was having bank problems so everyday i had to go to the bank for something. Everyday these people were there. One day i had them swearing at me and I had to do 60 mph in a parking lot to get away from them. they then proceeded to follow me onto a main road and then back to the publix. I decided to call the police when i got home, and the next day i didn't have any problems. Why aren't the guys at sound advice this pushy? not a scam haha, i saw a kid bringing a brand new set of these into the pawn shop the other day. Why do they feed you the bs story of too big of a shipment comming in? If they are legit then someone needs to contact the better business bureau asap.

Sure.....

Not a scam??? Sure i'll be that! If it is not a scam, then why not setup and park and let people come up to them?

those speakers are the biggest pile of ****.

red96gt is apparently and idiot.

it is a scam. they lie about how they get the speakers, they lie about why theyre selling them, and they lie about how much they are worth.

i do know some people who have purchased them, and i do know for a fact they are pieces of ****.

only a moron would buy something from the back of a van and expect if to be good quality.

if they were quality products, they would be sold at a respected audio dealer.

These guys remin me of the time I was at a gas station near my highschool in the ghetto, guy comes up to me, asking if I want to buy a gold chain, only $20 for a real gold chain. Maybe they were real but trying to sell me jewelry as I am airing up my tires? Sounds like a scam.

I had these guys yelling at me from a stoplight on alafaya a long tme ago, I said nope and turned up my radio adn drowned them out GO FACTORY SPEAKERS FROM 94!

It is a huge scam because they are selling a product at prices way over what it is worth. I have been asked to stop in traffic by this group to purchase a junk system for a high $$$ amount. This scam was also on the news a while back and on 60 min or some show like that. It basically boils down to that you end up spending big money for a product that isn't even worth 1/4 of what they are selling it for.

I also want to note that if it wasn't a scam why would their sales pitch start with "these extra speakers were loaded on the truck by accident and I want to sell them without my boss knowing about it". Everytime they tried the pitch on me the always say the same thing.

well i guess somethings have changed the guys i was with never chased anyone for not wanting to buy speakers.. i woudl have called the polive my self.. but funny enough saying i got these speakers in and my boss doesnt know it it really one of the best working sales pitches on that kinda stuff... do to the fact like some of you here think there hot soon as those words are said.. and <some> people buy just due to the fact that they think there hot and getting a super deal.. other like some of you are very honest and do care about that kinda thing..but its the people that are stupid enough to think guys are gonna be in a van in a parking lot selling hot speakers telling everyone about it that they thrive cause they are the ones that buy them... by the way i never said they are great and wonderful speakers i said if ya wanted the good stuff go to sound advice.. but 100-150 for what your getting isnt to bad but some people are more picky then others..
by the way i didnt see the point in name calling

Who was acting like a 10 year old. Everyone here was posting personal experiences they have had with these people and their opinion on them.... seems valid and rational to me.

Its a statewide operation... happens to me all over the place... I did buy a set of Dyna lab's in Ohio for 200 bucks... They were suppose to be 1200 dollar speakers... they sounded decent.. more like 4 or 500 dollar speakers.
Happens to me here in florida a lot too but i dont have any use for anymore speakers.
