visiting daytona soon
hey guys...i'll be up in daytona beach area for the weekend of april 5th.
are there any car shows or cruises goin on that weekend. i should have some buddies with me and we'll be lookin for a good time. from what i've been told that weekend coincides with a national or regional (not sure which) collegate cheerleading competition...
so we are planning on trolling for some ladies...
and also what performance shops are in the area...does anyone have a chassis dyno? wouldn't mind throwin the car on the rollers so that i can actually back up my claims (not that i make alot).
peace...

I'm always up for stretching a line and drowning a shimp if you feel like walking around in mud up past you ankles and water past your waste.
I just got GPS numbers for the site where they dumped all the debris from the old 7 mile bridge. We weren't far from it either. A couple miles or so. There are other artificial reefs too. I can't wait to try them out.

There aren't any car shows or cruises planned for that weekend. Our club here in town might be doing something that weekend though, not going to know for sure until a couple days before though.
Detailing places as in YOU detail in the bay? Or someone else does it? There's a place on US92 (International Speedway Blvd) right before you get to US1 on the right hand side that does detail work. Other than that....there are a million pressure wash places where you can do your own thing.
I don't yet know if Im working that weekend, I'll let you know so we can hook up and get that thing cleaned.

better yet INTENSS how's about you let me drive that SS of yours for the weekend... j/k
i guess all i should need is a place to do it myself, i'm gonna have the inside, engine bay and door jambs done before making the trip. even though i will probably wash it before the trip too, after drivign 400 miles it'll need a little TLC...
what i really need is someplace to wash it, wax and buff it...it's been years since it's been buffed and probably a year since i've waxed it...(no place to really do it)
what are some of the "happening" spots in daytona these days...years ago in college there was Razzles and 600 North, right on the main drag...are there any other bars or clubs that attract the ladies...
depending on the nite i could have upwards of 20 buddies in thier mid 20's looking for some pun-tang...(see the comment about the cheerleaders in the first post)

LOL, you're coming to Daytona, and you're asking where to get your car dynoed and where to get it detailed?
There's a lot of places in Daytona to party at. A few good clubs are Razzles and 600 North. There are a lot of bars in the vicinity too. There's a few decent strip clubs in the area if you're into that.
If you're into fishing, drive down Atlantic Blvd. a little until you get to the Ponce Inlet jetty. There's GREAT fishing there. New Smyrna Beach is a nice little quiet beach town with good fishing and good restaurants too. There's a lot of preserved wetlands on the New Smyrna Beach/Edgewater border that offer great flats fishing. Check out Canaveral National Seashore, there's good fishing there, camping, surfing and a place called Playalinda Beach, which is a nude beach.
There's a TON of stuff to do in the Daytona area, you just have to plan what you want to do before you get here.
