I didnt pay with credit card, paypal always just says how they are so safe and would like you to pay through other means so thats what I did, and now this is the first time it has cause me hassle, so from now on credit card.

I filed a claim with ebay and paypal, paypal stated 10 days to process and investigate my claim. ebay stated 24 hours to respond but has not yet. Will update with more information as things develop.

Mike; Any word yet. I tried calling you but have had no answer yet. Here is what I know. So far Ebay has found nothing wrong with your account. And Paypal has just given me a statement that the money was sent to your email address where the credit card/bank account is verified and that you have received the funds. And there has been no tampering with your paypal account. So that means that you have the money. If you have the money why don't you just send it back. I don't want this to linger on, I would like to get this taken care of asap, and so far ebay and paypal tell me the money is with you. Let me know, as 30 days is coming and after 30 days, I will start to pursue things a lot further and harder. Randy

Nothing has been resolved and I haven't heard from Mike. Paypal finally gets back after their ten day period with "the seller is at fault" No $h^! Sherlock! Paypal's "services" are absolutely worthless.

What the hell is going on Mike? This is getting ridiculous, I want my money Why won't you say what happened to the money???? Just send it back!

The badrap club is quickly gaining a bad rap.

I understand your frustration, but don't blame their entire Club for the actions of one individual.

Why not exchange #'s and keep in touch with new info. That way you dotn ahve to keep looking for emails and post. I hope you all get this resolved soon.

Mike will refund everyones money out of his pocket if paypal doesnt credit his account for the money.
He's waiting to hear back from them first.

I Cant tell you how bad this sucks for him.

It might suck for him. But it sounds like he's the only one who can fix the problem and the only one who knows the whole story. Who does it suck for more than the guys who already gave the money? They have no money, no merchandise, very little communication from Mike and no way to kick down his door and fix things manually.

I think it sucks more for the other guys involved.

If it were me, I would be keeping everybody informed with daily updates and forwarding any communications I had with PayPal and Ebay to all effected parties. That is the ONLY way to handle such mishaps as this and keep them off of the bulletin boards.

Unless he may actually have something to hide. You evidently know him. I don't. And I trust nobody.

Frustration is exactly what my problem is. There is a total lack of communication here and that makes me feel very uncomfortable.

I will say though that "the club" is certainly making this easier on me. I've had a few messages saying that Mike will take care of things and that you all stick together. If it wasn't for just those few simple messages I'd be in total darkness. It's nice knowing that a few people that actually KNOW Mike are trying to help the whole situation along.

Overall I think the club has some good "car-guys" that just want to help out.... which is why I felt safe buying from a fellow f-body nut in the first place.

Just some emails entailing what's been done, progress, or a good picture of the whole situation would certainly ease me a bit.

You Florida guys

Okay to update what information I have. first there was no communication in here due to my account being locked for bounced emails. Furely and buttercup's money did go to my paypal account, but was not transfered to my personal account. Paypal has responded to my complaints, Ebay has as well. Ebay's eamil stated that "I reviewed your account and it does not appear to have been tampered with. There is also no record of unauthorized bidding or selling at this time. "

Paypal's email is as follows

I understand you contacted us recently about unauthorized activity on your PayPal Account. Does this unauthorized activity involve any debit card transactions?

I appreciate your most prompt response. No further action can be taken until we determine what transactions you are disputing. We would need specific dates, amounts and merchants before we can assist you.

Thank you for your patience.

If you have any further questions, please reply to this email.

Sincerely,
Mary
PayPal Chargeback Division
PayPal, an eBay Company

I have been in contact with Paypal, and will dispute the credit/debit transactions that i did not make. That is where everyones money went, I reviewed my paypal account, there are some 50 or so transactions at gas stations, restaurants, and parts stores etc. to file disputes for. When Paypal credits my account I will send everyone their money back, If paypal does not credit my account I will come out of pocket myself and get everyone their money back.

For future reference my email is michael_quale@msn.com
My cell number is 813-817-0170, I did call Randy Shrom?? the one that supposedly bought the Throttle body, and left a message. I have all correspondence from Ebay & Paypal and would gladly forward them to whoever is involved in this scam. I apologize to those that have paid and recieved nothing. I too have been ripped by an ebay auction so I know the feeling.

Finally I have nothing to hide. I am not in front of a PC everyday, and I have tried to update this thread for the last 3 days, Today I took the time to fix this account. As I know more so will everyone else.

Guys just another vote for Mike being a good guy. I know he's seriously upset about this stuff. He's in the middle of a lot of stuff going on so I can't imagine a worse time for this...

Looks like things are starting to uncover.... Mike, any chance they can get some info or tape from a gas station, etc... to find out who it was?

Thanks Chris, not a lot of info yet... I have to do a whole crap load of paperwork to dispute all this stuff. Mastercard requires a seperate claim form for each disputed transaction, I still do not know how long they have to investigate each one, I know that filing all those claims alone, will take me 3 or 4 days. I am seriously considering sending everyone that is involved with this their money, I hate to have people thinking I am screwing with them. So with the two users on this board I would have to pay out a little over $500.00 This is what I am leaning towards, But I cannot send that amount out at one time. Buttercup and furely IM or email me with your daytime contact numbers please!!!

It's interesting that the guy who apparently stole your account sold car parts to these guys. How did he know you were involved in the car scene?

The guy must know you or it's a very big coincidence.

Where did all the gas station and restaurant disputes come from? Were they in your town? That's even more of a coincidence.

It's odd that someone who commits fraud against you over the internet would live in your own town, if he/she does....

I'd say one of your 'buddies' ain't really your buddy, or there's something else going on.

Sorry you've got to go through all of this Mike Unfortunately I have three exams this week so I'm virtually gone to the world. I'm a difficult man to get ahold of, I go to classes all morning through early afternoon and if I do work it's until ~7:30 at night before going home for homework. So long as I know you're making a solid effort to make all parties involved satisfied, I am content. I will get an email out to you as soon as I can come up with a time I'm by the phone. Don't put yourself in the nut-house over this

I'm also having problems with my VPN link to my email server
