with a properly working opti, Accel coil, taylor wires, and MSD ignition box on my car, do you really think the Delteq setup will supply me with more spark energy to the plug than what i am currently getting?

i am going to be pushing 20psi @ 6400rpm soon and want to try to avoid any ignition issues that might cause

Yes!

In simple terms (I don’t want to get technical on this)
Think about it for a moment with the delteq system the spark energy does not have to travel through a coil wire into a cap through a rotor then back out to anther wire to reach your plug.... With my system you get direct energy to each plug. We have had this system on cars making 1200 hp without any issues... With four coils sharing the workload there is no issues with saturation rate etc in anther words you get full power all the way through the rpm band with a slight drop off after 15,000 rpm.

More things to consider ….. as the cap and rotor wears out (from carbon build etc) there is an increase resistance decreasing spark energy.

(Tech Note: I do not want to get to technical but just a brief blurb about ignition systems.
Ignition systems are sort of like car stereo amps. For example a manufacture will rater their amp at 400 watts. In theory it’s true but at peak power for short burst with high a distortion rate (not good). When you look at the true power you need to compare RMS vs distortion rate (RMS stands for "Root Mean Square", which is fancy mathematical formula for finding the average amount of power an amplifier can continuously produce)
The same applies for ignition systems. With a system like the Delteq you spread the work load over four coils which produces more continues power at high rpm with out the help of a ignition box like (MSD)

sounds good, im ready to order one. are the plug wires included in the kit, or are those separate?

ill be ordering a radiator mount kit, but would like to get a set of both radiator mount and valvecover mount wires since im not sure exactly where ill end up putting the coils. aftercooler is sitting on top of drivers valvecover so it definitly cant go there, and blower bracket/belt drive make routing of wires from radiator mount area nearly impossible for drivers side, so i wont know until its on the car if ill end up needing to make my own bracket and put it elsewhere or not.

also can you give us any details about the "stage 2" kit that is being worked on? i cant find any info on it anywhere. also do you happen to know if we will be able to just buy some parts to upgrade our kits to the stage 2 later, or if we would need to take this setup off and get a whole new setup with that?

and one more thing, do you know how involved it would be to install a MSD DIS-4 on this setup? should it go on just like it would on any other DIS ignition, or will it be different since this isnt really a DIS car and it isnt factory wiring?

when you get a chance go ahead and email me with payment info. ill take a f-body radiator mount complete kit, and also a set of wires for the valvecover mount setup in addition to that.

I've seen posts discussing the need for an MSD Dis-4 to be able to retard the timing for nitrous. If I have LT1_edit and seperate N/A and nitrous tunes that I can dump in as necessary, do I even need the Dis-4?

if you retard the timing in the PCM via LT1edit and dont mind using the factory fuel-cut style rev limiter, then you dont have a need for the DIS4. i was going to get a DIS4 to give a bit more power to the ignition as well as retard timing for nitrous, but it looks like this setup will have plenty of spark without the MSD box, so im just going to leave it as it is and run a little less timing in the PCM when i have a bottle in the car.

Hi, simple answer (nope) no need for a a Dis-4 box ...
