Oh it wasn't a post. It was when I called up and talked to Pete. IIRC, the wires were $42 and a carbon core. He said that for some reason, I forget why, but nothing more than a simple carbon core wire is needed...

Question Re: Delteq GP

I am very interested in this LT1 kit. Is there a little room to move the spark plug wires around with differant headers? I have the SLP shorties. Are you still running that price?

i just installed my plug wires last night. the wires included with the kit have a lot of extra length, so you should have no problems routing them however you need to.

Either way we'll figure out a way to get them all to you.

Got mine done and was very impressed with how idiot-proof it is!!! I took lots of pictures, but would say that honestly only about half of them are useful. Routing the two harnesses from the Opti-Box to the Coil Packs was neat and tidy with the big air horn removed so those pictures might be helpful. I'm really **** and I used plenty of wire ties to keep them in place. I also moved the air horn over about an inch and held it in place with wire ties, using new holes, so that it wouldn't contact the coil pack connectors as it did in the stock location. Good pictures of that before and after as well.

I should have the car completed this weekend (knock on wood!!!) as I have to finish the brakes and a couple of other things before it can hit the ground again. I think I'll take it to one of those oil change places just to get it up on a lift to take some good pictures of the completed install. My plug wires look really neat and tidy on both sides, all 4 wires run neatly all the way from the coil packs to the plugs. I couldn't get a decent picture of that from one foot away though... (On the ground under the car!)

I also got good pictures of the Opti-Box in place before and after the harnesses are plugged into it, and of the stock coil in its location before the Opti-Box replaces it. Also pics of the two things that mount to the centermost Opti-Box mounting stud that the directions didn't say anything about, and how I remounted them. No real rocket science, but they couldn't go back on the way they were mounted with the stock coil.

Hopefully I will have a whole slew of pictures by Monday!!!

Re: Delteq GP

Hi Jim we played phone tag so I'll type even though it takes so long! but just in time for colored wires! I have a couple of questions
since my OEM rotor blew up I replaced with "cheap" unit from autozone I,ve had an intermitting miss -dead spot @4500-5500 rpm. I'm guessing its the cap rotor.
I have Jet hot long tubes which mount do you recommend? I will install on a lift so I think radiator mount?
what year & model does the coil pack need to be from?
how much are colored wires?
I've had computer reprogrammed will you system affect spark curve?
What do I have to leave from factory system? thanks, Steve

Re: Delteq GP

What are the other optional locations for the delteq unit? I'm curious and may jump on that as well. Will you sell the mounting kit seperate as I've already have the kit,,

Re: Delteq GP

I havn't seen anyone ask this question, so I will. I have a FAST system on my car, will this system work with the FAST system? If so, are the wiring connections the same or would I have to do some different wiring than someone using the stock computer.
Thanks.

Thanks for the info!!
I will be running about the same kind of boost as you, are you happy with the Delteq setup? Did you look at any other options, and would you go with Delteq again if you had to do it over? Thanks for your help.
