$&%*^!*& air in ABS modulator.....

I have had a devil of a time with what I "think" is air trapped in the ABS modulator. According to my research, the problem is with the rear brakes. The way the ABS unit works, it is prone to trapping air in the unit leading to the rear brakes.

This seems to be true. Just looking at the brake dust on my wheels. The rears never get dusted....while the fronts are completely covered.......it appears the the rears are doing next to nothing. My truck stops better than my Z28 right now.

This is a good article on the Delco VI unit on 93-97 Camaros.

I have just ordered a Motive pressure bleeder and am going to try the homing procedure of just starting the car for 10 seconds(while not touching brake) to home the ABS unit(this procedure is listed in my GM F-body service manual....however it recommends using the GM tech tool....strangely it says tech 1 instead of tech 2....and this is a 1996 manual).

I'm going to give this one last try before making a $200 trip to the dealership.

Anybody with other words of wisdom?

I'll post up my results.
