1LE Suspension

Exactly how much better is the 1LE suspension over stock? I currently have bilsteins and the SLP springs that came on the car. Would I see any improvment? Thanks for info.

Re: 1LE Suspension

i think your setup is pretty similar suspension wise. the bushings may not be the stiffer 1LE versions but the SLP springs and Bilsteins are probably as stiff or stiffer than the 1LE.

for the money i don't think you'd notice anything.

i would spend it on a real upgrade...like the BMR 32/21mm swaybar kit or the susp tech 35mm front bar.

also some lca and phb would be a good addition

What do you not like about your current setup as far as handling goes? If we know what you want to do with the car, we might be able to help out a little better.

Re: 1LE Suspension

It handles very well, great cornering (I have SFC, STB, PHB, LCA and hawks had bigger sway bars) but it rides like crap...only has 55k but the shocks are 9 years old! I was just curious since I could get the whole 1LE setup new for the price new bilsteins alone are gonna cost me.

Re: 1LE Suspension

If you want a cushier ride, go with the KYB Gas-a-Just shocks. Not very good shocks as far as handling goes, but my car rides very good with them. Bilsteins seem to be a very good compromise between ride comfort and handling, however.
