2002 Z28 rotors

I had to have my rotors resurfaced due to the vibrations when braking around 9k miles and now I am at 17k and it feels like I have to have it done again. What's up with my 2002 LS1? Is this a common problem with M6's? Are A4's seeing the same thing? Is it my bad breaking habits (high speed breaking sometimes)? Could there be something else wrong?

A mechanic had told me the materials that recent rotors are being made of are not the type used in the past due to cost reductions. Therefore, they are not lasting as long.

It's bugging me that I have to have it resurfaced after only 8k.

just wanted to add everything is stock brake wise, but I have non stock wheels if that makes any diffrence.

You might just have a bad set of rotors. Mine didn't start to do it till 60k. Front drivers side and rear passenger side went to crap.
