97 rear brake question

I am re-doing my rear brakes and installed new pads (disc brakes) and also purchased new rotors. After installing the pads, there is not enough clearance for the rotor to fit between the pads. I used a brake pad spreader and i have made sure that the piston has hit the stop. The brake pads are from Checkers Auto parts and they are the ceramic pads. Any ideas on what else to do would be helpful.

Re: 97 rear brake question

I had this same problem last year, and it turned out that the piston in the caliper was rusted and would not go past a certain point. Had to have a friend help me fix the problem.
