ABS INOP after LS1 brake conversion.

I used the LS1 hubs... are the sensors the same? I also swapped the rear end so it could be that too.... Just wanting to know if the LS1 hubs and LT1 hub ABS sensors are compatible.

The hubs are compatible. I would double-check all your connections though. This is also assuming that the LS1 hubs you used did not have any issues.

Ya that's the thing... I have no idea if they did. To top it off the alignment was WAY off when I put on the spindles. WTF mate?!

did you buy the knuckes used? I did and one was clearly bent which obviously would give bad alignment.....also IIRC there is an arrow on the ABS connector on the front hubs pointing to the front....now sure what diff it makes but it may be another thing to check. =)

Which knuckles are you meaning? This was an assembly that had the hubs, calipers, and rotors already attached to the spindles. I didn't see a knuckle.

Spindle and knuckle are the same thing. People use both terms to describe the part that the hubs, calipers and steering arm attach to.

The tech doing my alignment didn't even get the wheels straight. Damn it after looking again they are way off.

I did a Kore3 front brake upgrade to a 97ss. Removed the ABS unit for additional space in the Motor Compartment/ blower. You can splice into the light_green color wire (on BCM) and run to any ground under the dash. Light will not be constant on. B.

hmm, I did my ls1 upgrade to the brakes and had zero issues. I used the ls1 hubs. If the abs sensor was bad in one of the hubs, there is your problem. You can put your LT1 hubs on the LS1 spindles, they fit and you will know if it is the hub or the rear end.

I had the same problem after my conversion ABS INOP light on so i knew it was a problem with one of the wheel speed sensors in the hub assembly.I found that when i pluged in the abs sensor one of the small metal prongs on sensor didnt go into the wire plug insted it just bend to the side and still allowed for the abs plug to seem as though it was connected corectly.i would check the metal prongs on hubs to make sure one or both havent bent causing no connection.i straightened mine with a pick made sure i pluged it in correctly and was done.
