ABS INOP and ASR lights after rain?
anyone have an idea why my ABS INOP and ASR lights would come on after a rain storm? The car was fine when I parked it at work but when I came out that night, the lights were on and neither were working? I pulled the pcm fuse for a few minutes and they went away but the next time I started my car they were back. I pulled the fuse again but this time it didnt work.
The car is a 96 LT1 with 162000 miles on it. I read that installing a SS spolier could cause this but the spolier has been on without a problem for over a year?
any help is appreciated,
Thanks.

I may be completely crazy but I think I remember reading once that a blown third brake light can cause some issues with that resulting in the ABS light to come on. Just something to check out. Maybe double check the connection for the ABS sesnors at each wheel.

I tried the brake light but its working, I will have to look into the sensors. Any good websites have diagrams of the location of the sensors that you know of? Im not sure what they look like?
Thanks again,

Look at your Voltage gauge. If it is on the high side and you notice all your indicator lights seem to pulsate. You may have a bad battery. This will cause false readings in your ABS circuit. You may also notice your parking break light come on even when it’s down

Well I finally took it in the shop and just got it back. All he said was he found low voltage in the ABS system? I didnt ask any detail or anything. Luckily its a friend of a friend and he only charged me an hour of labor for whatever he did? All better now.
thanks for the reply though!
