ABS Problem

ABS Problem
I am having a bit of an ABS problem.
The system kicks in way too often and is way too sensitive. I am not talking about marginally, but it kicks in even at 1-5 mph turning into a parking spot slowly with no lockup actually occurring. Will also kick in way too early going straight on pavement or gravel, probably at 1/2 the brake pressure that it should. Has scared me on a couple of occasions.
My first thought was wheel speed sensors, anything specific to check? Any other ideas? No DTC's.
Car is a 96z with mods in sig and 95 PCM. All changes were made 5000+ miles ago with problems just beginning recently.

I've had a problem similar to that when the rear sensor, on top of the differential housing got dirty. It appears the brake computer (EBCM) gets a good signal at higher speeds, but at the vehicle slows down it loses the signal, sees the rear wheel speed go to "0" when the fronts are still turning, assumes there is lockup and engages the ABS. Doesn't set a code, because the rear sensor is still working, it just doesn't provide a strong signal.
Might be worth pulling the sensor to see if it has accumulated metal particles or other sludge.
