Affordable shocks?

So what are some affordable shocks out there?

What do you guys think o the bilsteins, KYBs and most especially the TOKIKO ones on Ebay?

I knew I should have bought some SLP takeoffs to store for when my car needed shocks

obviously but the other 2 I have heard 1 or 2 good review nothing bad. Just want more input.

I woudl rather pay $240 vs. $330+ shipping if I am only going to see a 2% increase in performance. Its not like I am looking at "bobby joes, shock-o-lot shock sale" they are decently brand names.

I heard bobby joe went out of business. You need to call Big Earls. LMAO

The KYBs and Bilsteins are gonna be pretty close. I have no experience with the TOKIKOs.

Re: Affordable shocks?

MMmmm... If you're interested in improving performance than don't go KYB, they don't compare favorably to Bilstiens in anything except price. I didn't know you could even get Tokiko's for f-bodies, and I've got no experience with them.

Between the KYB's and Bilstiens, I suggest you pay a bit more and get the Bilstiens.

Re: Affordable shocks?

Before you buy any shocks talk to sam strano. He knows his stuff and most likely change you mind after hearing what he has to say about the cheaper brands. I did not want to get koni sa's when i called him, but thats what i ended up with. Am I glad? yes, couldn't be happier. Your not going to want anything less than some re-valved bilstiens after you talk to him. shocks aren't the item to go cheap on. good luck
