Annoying brake tapping noise.

I have a 93 Z28, what the problem is that i have this tapping noise in the right front, first i thought it was a nail in my tire or something, but when i put on the brakes it would go away, so i figured out since my rotors are so warped, that it was my pads slapping up against the rotor. So i took them off to get them turned, and they are perfectly straight. And now its even louder, but still quits when i press my brakes, what else could be making this tapping noise?

you probably don't have the pads seated correctly in the caliper. a lot of the time the retainer clips are missing. If those clips are missing, the pads often "tap" on the rotor since there's nothing holding the pad against the caliper when the brakes are not applied. in this case, the "tap" would go away when you prress the brakes because the caliper is holding the pad up against the rotor under force. I don't remember how your front brakes are set up, but its probably a loose pad
