Any one try to fab SFC. Thinkin' about it

I know a guy with who is a great welder. What about solid aluminum. How strong would that be as opposed to a tubular or boxed steel design. I realize that welding aluminum is different, but he has many years of experience with many materials including aluminum.

Could anyone get specs on any popular SFC's or other suspension parts?

Re: Any one try to fab SFC. Thinkin' about it

I was just talkin bout fabbin them up I'm just posting the question has anyone fabbed them, and also, have they tried aluminum. Solid aluminum would be stronger I think than that of a steel tubular or boxed design.

I realize that you can't weld aluminum to steel. Just a curious question.

Open to discussion as I don't have an immense amount of design experience, and would slowly like to educate myself with the all knowing all seeing individuals on this site.
