Any one try to fab SFC. Thinkin' about it
I know a guy with who is a great welder. What about solid aluminum. How strong would that be as opposed to a tubular or boxed steel design. I realize that welding aluminum is different, but he has many years of experience with many materials including aluminum.
Could anyone get specs on any popular SFC's or other suspension parts?

I was just talkin bout fabbin them up
I'm just posting the question has anyone fabbed them, and also, have they tried aluminum. Solid aluminum would be stronger I think than that of a steel tubular or boxed design.
I realize that you can't weld aluminum to steel. Just a curious question.
Open to discussion as I don't have an immense amount of design experience, and would slowly like to educate myself with the all knowing all seeing individuals on this site.
