Anyone try the J&M LCAs with the 'ball' bushings yet?

I wound up removing most of the grease myself. I found it too difficult to get the three-piece bushing to stay put. So, I applied only a slight film, installed the arms, then used a grease gun to fill 'em up good. No issues after that...

I just received my set today. I took them out and think they are of very good quality, but i have a question (maybe stupid) should they have a fitting to grease the bushing durning routine mantaince or are they good to go after the intial greasing. Thanks in advance

After many many years of Energy Suspension and Prothane telling us not to install grease fittings on our control arms we have decided to listen to them. Both companies have been telling us if the grease we supply is used all over the bushings they should never need to be lubed again. We finally removed them after I ran a set of our arms on one of my personal cars for around 5 years without greasing them and they are still holding up fine without extra grease. Just make sure you use the supplied grease and nothing else all over the bushings and metal sleeves.

I thought we should post the results from our lower control arm test fixture. We built a fixture that would hold the control arm similar to a car. This fixture allowed us to position the control arm so we could measure how much force in foot/pounds of torque it took to rotate a control arm with our new poly-ball bushing versus a control arm with a typical two piece bushing setup. We decided to measure both setups in 5, 7.5, and 10 degrees of arm rotation and this is what the results turned out to be. We didn't measure less than 5 degrees because we did not have a digital torque wrench that went down low enough for our bushings.
Patent Pending Poly-Ball Bushings
5 degrees – 26.1 foot/pounds of torque
7.5 degrees – 35.8 foot/pounds of torque
10 degrees – 41.7 foot/pounds of torque
Standard two piece polyurethane setup
5 degrees – 124.7 foot/pounds of torque
7.5 degrees – 156.4 foot/pounds of torque
10 degrees - Not measurable in fixture. We had a ½” grade 8 bolt twist in half at 9.2 degrees of rotation which was 210 foot/pounds of torque.
All the extra force it takes to rotate these arms using the standard two pice bushings creates a very unpredictable wheel rate increase which in turn tends to create snap oversteer during hard cornering. I hope these results are helpful to you in making your decision on which control arms are best for your F-body and particular application.

I ordered a set of the LCA's from hotpart. Are the relaocation brackets worth it for a stock ride height car that is used for some drag racing? I ahve not had much traction problems with the MT DR's. I have had some wheel hop. The engine is basically stock.

I am having one hell of a time getting these bushings pressed in enough for install...I have tried greesing it all up, then i later tried no greese, and again with jsut a little greese...and i have yet to get one end pushed in well enough to install. Any help available??
