Axle Lengths - LT1/LS1 vs. 3rd Gen

Are axles on the 3rd gen Z28s shorter or longer than on a 93-97?

I searched the forums but only found that LS1 axles are shorter than those on the LT1 due to the change in brakes.

3rd gen axles are about 4 inches overall shorter than 4th gen 93-97 axles.
