Bent my upper A-Arm, how do I remove bushings?

I accidentally bent my upper control arm trying to get one of the bushings out. Can I just straigten it out and forget about it or am I going to have structural integrity issues?
More importantly, how can I get these bushings (none yet removed) out since the ball joint remover I have just crushes the a-arm?
Thanks for any replies.

I used liquid wrench and let it sit for 15 minutes. I then just pounded on the "can" until it came out. I then heated the "cans" with a torch which then just slid out (much messier than it sounds).
While using the press, would it be possible to wedge something in between the folds of the a-arm so it doesn't bend? A thick screwdriver maybe? Just an idea...
Just so you know, i had a h3ll of a time getting those cans back in. i.e. the lip was not flush with the a-arm like it originally was, but it was in far enough that there was a lot of the "can" coming out the other end of the a-arm. I now have a new "popping" noise, but I think its related to my lower bushings. Please let me know if you are able to get them in all the way and if you have any new noises.
