Question Best Alignment Setting 96 Z28??

ALIGNMENT NEED HELP..SPECS

I need help on what alignment settings I should go for. I only have free time today or tomorrow to go to a shop. I don't trust what they will recommend for my setup. What specs should I go with

My car is a daily driver, weekend autocross/drag. My parts are in my sig. I would like an all around...best of everything.

thanks

Re: Best Alignment Setting 96 Z28??

From what I have looked into here is what the experts will generaly agree on...

Alignment (all in deg)

Camber Caster Toe
factory +1(± .5) +3(± .5) 0.15(± .5)
autox/street -0.5 +4.0 0.0
autox* -1.5 +4.5 1/16 inch toe out

Hope that helps.
Kris

Re: Best Alignment Setting 96 Z28??

Check www.frrax.com there is a sticky there.

Watch the negative camber, too much will wear the insides of the tires. I'm sure I will get an arguemnet over the maximum benefit of negative camber. I would not go over -1. Some people run -2, but their tires cord out quickly.

Castor adjustment: Have both left and right maxed out and reduce the higher to the lower. Example Left 2 degrees max and Right 2.5 degrees max. Adjust Right to 2 degrees and leave the Left at 2. I don't think you will get 4 degrees on the factory set up.
