Best brake pads for 01-02 f-bodies

I heard that the Hawk pads are excellent, which ones are the ones I am to get, the blue ones?

Any other recommendations? I have factory calipers & rotors, my car's got 28K miles, the pads MUST be nearing their life cycle.

Thanks guys!

What do you do with the car? Street only? Street/Dragstrip? Autox? Roadcourse? Do you mind extra dust and/or noise?

For regular street, dragstrip, or even some autox, the stock pads are a very good pad. Low dust, no noise, and they stop reasonably well. If you want better stopping power, you are going to have to make some sacrifices (more dust, and possible noise). Also, don't run out and buy a race pad for street use, as it will actually perform worse (race pads need heat to perform properly). Just as an example, I use a stock level pad (Wagner Thermoquiet) for street use, and switch to a dedicated race pad when I go to the roadcourse.

I'm looking at getting the "green stuff" It's a kevlar composite. Higher coefficient of friction and doesn't dust as much.

They have been coming on strong lately and are their Pro Ceramic compound is supposed to be a very good street pad. They also have a little more aggressive model:

which I'm thinking about trying when my current street pads wear out.

Personally, I use the Raybestos ceramic pads on AutoZone rotors. The ceramic pads don't squeal, don't dust, and the AZ rotors don't warp.

Oh, and did I mention that the ceramic Raybestos pads have a lifetime replacement? I'll never have to buy pads again. Not bad for $150.

The Wagner Thermoquiets (from Oreilly's), while not ceramic, have low dust, no noise, come with a lifetime warranty and only cost around $47.
