Best sway bars and sizes

I am looking at the spohn front and rear sway bars. The car is for a dd and occaisional track time both strip and autox. I know I want solid but not really sure what size's and what brand are the best.

hard to go wrong with the 32/21mm bars from BMR

it's a good all around setup...made AMAZING improvements on my cars handling...on both my 96 and now my 99

Not sure why you want solid bars, I'd get Strano's 35/22 bars, 32 is a bit small on the front and Spohn's 32/22 combo will be tailhappy. Strano's will be lighter too. I've had the BMR bars and they are not bad but the Strano front bar is better IMO.

Call Sam Strano, he will be happy to explain what is best and you need, esp. since it seems you are doing some AutoX

Re: Best sway bars and sizes

If hollow, go with the Strano 35mm front and 22mm rear, if solid then go with the 35mm Suspension Techniques bar and 1LE 21mm rear bar.

I have the two solid bars mentioned and it made an incredible difference in handling. By far the best handling mod I've done.

A stiffer rear roll bar will give the inside rear tire less grip, making the rear slide more easily in turns. The 32/22 combo will make the anti roll balance stiffer at the rear. The optimum setup seems to be 35/21 solid or 22 hollow, assuming wider 17" wheels. With stock 16" wheels, a 19 mm rear bar might be better.
