bilstein or kyb?

i know theres a million threads about which shocks or struts are the best etc etc

i ordered 2 bilsteins strut for my 87 iroc, and only one came in, the other was cancelled, i keep re-ordering but it keeps getting cancelled, stranoparts has bilstein struts but the part number is different ever so slightly (s36-0201 is the one i have p36-0201 is what strano has)

i took a look at my latest summit catalog and it has kyb struts for about 50 bucks each, considerably cheaper than the bilsteins ($149 at strano)

my car is a street car with alot of suspension upgrades

heres what i wanna know, is the strano part the same as the one i have?

and should i get bilsteins from strano, or get the kyb?

Re: bilstein or kyb?

I have the KYB Gas a Just for the Rear, with Moog springs, Spohn control arms, adjustable panhard rod, and Energy Suspension Sway bar links and my car handles like a champ around corners.

I am debating on getting either the GR-2's or the Gas a Just's for the front but I haven't decided yet but since the vehicle is a occasional weekend toy. I don't need them yet.

Good Luck with your decision but the KYB's are pretty good

Talk to Sam. I know he will tell you that the Bilsteins are hands down the better quality shock.
