BMR k-member installation.

BMR k-member installation.
I have a problem in installing the BMR k-member, the six bolts are fixed and tighten to the frame, steering rack is fixed. All this is done while the engine is supported with a jack under the oil pan. I couldn’t align the mount engine mount bolts when I tried to lower the engine on k-member, it’s not only up and down it also looks like the engine needs to be shifted about 3/8” to the driver side.
Is it necessary to have the k-member bolts loosened to for engine mount bolt proper alignment.
I wasn’t exactly sure about where to fix the aluminum spacers that came with the member, so I fixed them at the rearmost k-member bolt if that has anything to do with my misalignment issue.
Happy new year

Re: BMR k-member installation.
I loosen the bolts that mount the engine mount bracket to the engine block, thus allowing more freedom to align the long engine mount bolts. After the long bolts are slde in place, tighten up everything.

Re: BMR k-member installation.
My K member didn't come with any spacers. My friend bought a BMR K member 6 months ago and it came with 2 large steel washers that came tie wrapped to the rear mounting holes. These act as spacers.

Here's a link to BMR's installation instructions; they don't mention spacers but the instructions may be old.

Re: BMR k-member installation.
i had a hell of a time with mine. I did not have any spacers. I had to losen the motor mounts from the block and do a little grinding on the kmember hole to get it to align.

Re: BMR k-member installation.
The rear spacer/washers are supposed to be installed right where they are zip-tied, they go on the rearmost holes between the k-member and the frame of the car. I called BMR to verify this before installing mine.

Re: BMR k-member installation.
The k-member is installed now and the spacers are installed in the correct position.. I had to completely remove the six k-member bolts and fix the engine mounting bolts first then go back to fix the 6 bolts and that took some persuation. It looks good.
Thanks for the help
