BMR Xtreme Shock Tower Brace

Is it really worth the money to get the stronger Xtreme duty STB that BMR offers or should I just stick with the normal one. I believe there is also another one in between. Which one should I get??

I think the extreme STB is too extreme. I would just get the chromoly if you really wanted one. But before I did a STB, I would do subframe connectors, or if you really wanted to feel the corners, get a new Sway bar.

I did my STB before I had subframe connectors and I could tell the steering seemed more tight and it cornered better. I bought the SLP. Kind of a PITA to put it on. I had to compress the spring on one side to get it to bolt up.

STBs don't do much for 4-th gen F-bodies (at least it didn't do much for me), if you really want one, go with the cheapest one.

If you want better steering control, forget the STB and buy a 35mm front sway bar.

Much better control, more crisp steering, less body roll. They are about $150.

Suspension Techniques makes them, and www.stranoparts.com sells them.

I've often thought they made this piece because it was easy for them to make to compliment there Xtreme parts. I feel the chromoly is by far enough and it's lighter weight.
