Re: Brake pads rubbing
As noted earlier, if it rubbing while not braking, may be a stuck caliper. If it is only occuring when braking, you have a warped rotor. If you feel the vibration in the steering wheel, it is the front rotors. If you feel it in the car seat, it is the rear rotors. I just replaced the rears at approx. $18 a rotor. I think the front rotors are about $5 more. Most places will probably turn your rotor for $15. So you will have to decide, turn them or get new ones.

I feel it in the front and in the rear .... (theres something kinky in there)... But I had the rotors turned... new pads... and regreased the bushings, but when I turn the wheel manually without engaging the brake it free spins about 270 degrees of rotation then gets really tight... My front end bounces around horribly on the front driverside.. although everything is new from the rack and pinion to the A-arms and bushings. I'm sctraching my head becasue something is causing this and I can't figure out what.

Re: Brake pads rubbing
I have a warped rotor on my drivers side rear, and it makes SO much noise. I bought a replacement, but it has a front rotor on it. Kind of weird, and I can't get it off to replace it.
