Re: Brakes
agreed...i have heard significant complaints about cross drilled rotors. but...why do the higher class cars (z06, porche, ferrari, lambo, etc.) come with cross drilled rotors. Also, the new baer rotors come with a 2 year warrenty...

Re: Brakes
I read an article where a Porche engineer stated that they started running crossdrilled because people thought they needed it especially with the price of the car. So basically, they run them to shut customer's up that wanted the bling.

Re: Brakes
slots are good for removing glaze off the pads...that's it. if you want bling, get slotted and have them coated or dipped. the zinc or powder will remain in the slots and look cool...until you hit the brakes any way. but it's cool bling for car shows and stuff to see red, green, or whatever color slots in the brake rotors.
drilled rotors suck, but i will admit that i noticed a slight improvement IN WET ONLY braking with sloted.

Tapered pad wear, it was worn to a V type. I beat the F*K out of these brakes!! The rotors NEVER warped!! I'd say if you're going to better rotors, go with a semi metallic or almost full metallic pad. Depends too on what the rotors call for..
BTW......Kewl! No leaf Clover!... S&M rules!!
