C5 Brake Brackets
#2
Re: C5 Brake Brackets
there have been a few threads on this subject, i recently purchased a set of bob's brackets on this forum, Lateapex is his handler. he did go into retirement for the second time after this last batch, there were no extras that i know of. you may be able to find someone with his older model steel brackets that upgraded to the aluminum ones, but you might also want to post on ls1tech.com or ls1.com.
if you have an ls1 or even just the spindles you may want to put the z06 calipers on them. with certain pads you can use the c5 calipers on the standard ls1 rotors with no problem and a 33%, or near, greater bite and pad surface area. plus they just look cool. you will need to use the camaro abatement bracket with the new calipers. there is a page somewhere that has instructions, and i havent done it, nor have i read the instructions. i've jsut read somewhere that someone used the c5calipers with 12" rotors
