Question C5 caliper and stock LS1 brake?

Hello friends,

simple question:
can I put a Vette C5 caliper on a stock LS1 brake without mods?
and the pads?

thanks
Thomas

Not 100% sure but I doubt it. It wouldn't make much difference anyway as the two calipers are very close. A better setup would be C5 rotors with LS1 calipers.

thanks for replay Reiner

I have seen your upgrade on your foto album...
but with vette rotors I need a special bracket - or not?
and it is very expensive....

The C5 calipers looks so nice

I thought that ls1 rotors are 12" and vette are 13" ?? So you are saying thet vette they will fit with no modifications on any ls1 setup???
Thanks

Yes you would need a special bracket or at least have the machine work skills to modify the LS1 bracket. I modifed mine because I grew impatient after having brackets on order for two months. I beleive the bracket set was $250.

Actually if you want to race it, the C5 caliper is the way to go... And a better setup would be C5 rotors and C5 calipers...
