C5 rotor upgrade up from LS1 conversion

I have a 95 Z28. I have the LS1 front brake conversion done on it. I am looking to increase the rotor size as I see it's possible to use a C5 rotor with some special brackets. So a couple of questions, who sells the brackets these days? Can I keep the stock LS1 caliper or do I need to get a C5 caliper and everything that goes with it (caliper mounts, shims, pads, ect)?

Has anyone actually done this and can comment on the improvement from using just a bigger rotor? Basically is it worth the effort?

TIA
