can I cut eibach sportline springs
I have a 1996 z28, it has sportline springs and bilstien shocks all around. Here is my problem. My front is about a half inch higher than my rear and i want it the other way around, making my front a half inch lower than my rear. Is it ok if I cut my front springs so they drop my front about an inch? and how much shold I cut?...Thanks

Re: can I cut eibach sportline springs
I think all Eibachs sag in the rear, it sucks.
I have never heard someone cutting a Sportline, they are low as it is. Are you running a spring lsolator in the rear? If not that will take care of it. If you are I think the LS1 (if you have an LT1) lsolator is thicker and would bring the rear about a 1/2" or so.

Re: can I cut eibach sportline springs
The alternative would be going to the QA1/HAL adjustable shocks in the front. They are threaded so the spring seat can be raised and lowered. And, add to that the Spohn coil-over rear spring/shock conversion for the rear, using the QA1/HAL's, and you can have your car at any height you want.
Generally, the heat generated in cutting a spring can destroy the temper.
