Can i REMOVE the ABS???

I did a search and couldnt find anything. My dash light "ABS INOP" has been lit since i bought the car. There could be a number of things causing this light but my question is, do i really need ABS? I dont drive the car in rainy weather and it gets put up for the Winter. I have a Jeep as my DD so the Z28 is just a weekender/fun car that i may drag once in a while. I would rather free up some space in the engine bay and if its INOP anyways, why have it?

Please let me know all that i need to remove and any precautions i need to take before or afterwards (need to block anything off? tune out? ect.). Thanks

Install one of those and you're done.

Screw that I leave em lit. Freaks non-car folks out when they want a ride, point at the dash, and ask whats wrong. I tell them "everything, no brakes, fuel leaks, so if something happens I'll slow down so you can jump out."

Re: Can i REMOVE the ABS???

If removing the bcm module, then connect the light green wire to 12v +. Light will be gone. I have removed my abs on a 97. Free-up alot of space under hood.
