I agree... somewhat. I worked at a dealership before working there, and guess why I quit? lol More worried about money than the customers vehicle.

They knew their stuff, dont get me wrong... they just didnt care about the customer. Alot of other places... just know oil changes and tires. Hate to see them do an engine swap...

I was instructed at a Tech School to adjust toe to compensate for the crown of the road. He prolly over did it. You are also supposed to inspect for broken, worn or missing suspension components. Also it's easier to adjust toe than any other angles. Some quick alignment jobs are know as "Adjust the toe and go."... I don't know how he could have NOT done it, unless it didn't need it.

Take it back. They're about customer service, right??

Which side of the road were you on when this was noticed?? He prolly adjusted for the wrong side.

^ cause a scene then... ... Rant and rave saying their tech was smoking pot in the car... THat'll drive customers away REAL fast.

Or go the logical route and talk to them in a stern manor and request for it to be redone.

a few days ago i took my car to firestone for a alignment also, because i put intrax springs new shocks and new tires. my steering wheel looks like im constantly turning left now, after i got the alignment. he said in order to get my wheels straight they have to disconnect my steerign rack and "realign" the steering wheel to Zero it out? i was like wtf? so the issue was when the wheel was straight, my passsenger side would caster like -5.00 which is not good, but camber and caster on the other side was perfect. so we put the steering wheel left almost half a turn and evertyhing went perfectly straight give or take a few .5's off. now my wheel is half turned left and it goes straight. it also feels like i can turn WAY better left then right? WTF IS GOING ON!

PS **** FIRESTONE AND THERE IGNORANCE.

I created a thread a couple days ago bout firestone alignments. they're morons that tell you whatever to get you out the door. I had to write an email to tell them how stupid they are to tell me caster is not adjustable on my car. I even sent a link to the tool to adjust the caster on f-bodies. Anyway, they called me back and set me up with one of their stores than can do the job. Its' a hassle to deal with them.

Yup, they can just do it again.

Was that a typo or something? I'm having trouble picturing an SLA suspension that has adj. caster but not camber.

It almost sounds like the tech that did Xws' car did the work to hit a total toe spec by adjusting just one side (either too lazy or too greedy vs the flat rate to do it the right way).

If the schools are actually suggesting that you use toe to compensate for road crown, I'm worried on a whole 'nother level. Meanwhile, I'll hope that Bayer meant "caster".

Meanwhile, I'll continue to do my own alignments in my own driveway with less than $100 worth of measuring equipment. It's not that hard once you have some understanding.
