Changingn brakes

I just recently received my hawk hps brake pads for street use and I have the $29.99 rotors from kragens. They are oem specs. The rotors should be okay with the new brake pads correct? Or should I upgrade to better rotors so that it won't warp too early. Also when you guys change your brake pads do you put the blue stuff/spray on the back of the brake pad so it won't squeak? I'm gonna change the rotor/pad today and wanted your input. Thanks

Re: Changingn brakes

never buy any new front brake parts for an LT1 when for the price it costs for rotors and new parts you could have the LS1 setup. My LS1 setup cost me 165 shipped.

Re: Changingn brakes

Well I still have the stock rims which is 16 inch, don't you need 17 inch wheels to do the LS1 setup.

Re: Changingn brakes

Hmm I didn't know that. Well I already have the rotors and brake pads. The rotors on my car are the original with 101,XXX. They could burn anytime if I was to wait and buy the LS1 setup. I might have to do the LS1 setup another time. Thank you for the info.

Re: Changingn brakes

no problem. I bought my setup for 165 shipped and the pads were like new and the rotors were in excellent shape. All i did was clean and paint all the parts and slap them on. It was probably one of the best bang for the buck mod. Well not hp but drivers satisfaction.
