Re: clunking over hardish bumps..

interesting guys.
Ive been under my car lots of times shaking sh*t, prying with prybars, tapping, and the like and I cant find mine. Granted, my car is in storage now as its cold as a witches tit up here in MN, but come springtime Im gonna look into this shock issue. Its the only thing I can think of as everything else is new. (Check sig for suspension and driveline stuff. hehe)

Does it sound louder when you hit bumps?
yeah it sounds louder over speed bumps or any imperfections on the roaddd an when i make it bounce with my hands it does it as well

Re: clunking over hardish bumps..

as with many of you, I have/had the same problem.. After countless times under the car, I found out that it was coming from the exhaust hanger being worn. little bit of gorilla tape fixed that. That helped some, next was the LCA bushings which got rid of almost the rest of the clunking. Another quick check of bolts around the car I noticed the bolts for the rear seat were a little loose. Tightened those up, and no more clunking.. Hope this helps someone for some areas to look for..

Probably not talking about the panhard, it's probably the bracket that connects to the body right above the panhard bar. Can't remember it's name but it is slightly curved.
