Coil overs all four? only front?

I drive a 91 z28 camaro with minor mods here and there. I do a good amount of street racing and track racing and im looking to hook up better without my car driving like crap. coil overs seem to give alot of control when it comes to adjusting this adjusting that but would i need them on all four or just the front and make the back just a good spring shock combo... also where are some coil overs at? or are coil overs going to far is there another set up that would be good enough for me? note this is also a car i drive everyday but i do race a lot

i run the ground contol coilovers on my 97 camaro and there great. i know QA makes a really nice set also. you can run the front only with a good adjustable set in the rear. it really just depends on you and your driving style. are you looking for just a better ride or are you looking for a lower stance ect. you can get the QA s from summit or jegs i believe or im sure some one here on this site might have a vendor you could get them from. the ground controls are all over the place or you can call them directly and speak to stan. he will do anything to help you out.

It depends on your type of racing.

For a skinny tired drag racer, the front coil overs should be OK, but for a car with wide front tires (for handling), they limit your tire size before the coils hit the tires. Also on a 3rd gen, the strut towers were not designed to support the car weight either.

If you do not want to alter your height, the coil overs are of little advantage. Buy a good adjustable shock, this will likely get you what you need.
